Fondue Dipping Sauce Recipe
for Shabu Shabu
After numerous attempts to find the right fondue dipping sauce recipe for shabu shabu, I was finally successful. I used to have shabu shabu a few times a week while in Taiwan, and I missed it so much when I came back to Canada.
Here is my favorite dip recipe, Taiwanese style, as well as others dips that go well with the shabu style fondue.
Shabu Dip
| 60 ml | (4 tbsp) | Kikkoman soy sauce |
| 15 ml | (1 tbsp) | Chinese Bullhead barbecue sauce |
| 15 ml | (1 tbsp) | Garlic, crushed |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Chili peppers, crushed |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Green onions, chopped |
1. Mix all ingredients.
2. Add more chili pepper if required.
3. Serve.
Wasabi Dip
| 45 ml | (3 tbsp) | Soy sauce |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Prepared wasabi |
1. Mix ingredients.
2. Add more wasabi if needed.
3. Serve.
Garlic Chili Dip
| 45 ml | (3 tbsp) | Soy sauce |
| 15 ml | (1 tbsp) | Prepared garlic/chili sauce |
1. Mix together.
2. Add more garlic/chili sauce to taste.
3. Serve.
