Fun with Fondue, Issue #10 -- Happy New Year! December 29, 2012 |
Hi, BestFondue.com wishes you and your family a wonderful happy new year! May 2013 be filled with joyous occasions and delicious food eaten in delightful company. Are you scrambling to find a menu for your New Year's Eve Party? This newsletter offers one sample menu. Fondue AppetizerStart with this delicious Mexican-style cheese fondue: https://www.bestfondue.com/fiesta-cheese-fondue-recipe.html
Fondue as an EntreeWhen serving fondue as a main meal, my favorite is beef-broth fondue (also called fondue chinoise): https://www.bestfondue.com/fondue-broth.html Don't feel like making broth? No problem. Pick up a package of Lipton's onion soup mix and use it as broth (don't add any cheese or bread on top). You can "cook" anything you want in this broth: beef, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. For dips, you can pick any three of these sauces: https://www.bestfondue.com/fondue-dipping-sauce.html Of course, you should serve side dishes such as freshly baked bread, rice, tossed salad, etc. Fondue DessertYou can't go wrong with a basic chocolate fondue recipe: https://www.bestfondue.com/dark-chocolate-fondue.html Serve it with a selection of fresh fruit.
Food For Thought
