Delicious Fondue Sauces
Having a great selection of fondue sauces is an essential part of planning your next broth or hot oil fondue party.
Fondue dipping sauces can be left on the table in small bowls and the guests spoon out the quantity they want directly into their fondue plates.

Ponzu Fondue Sauce Recipe
This Ponzu sauce is also available (pre-made) in the Asian food section of your grocery store. The bottle looks like this: Kikkoman Ponzu Sauce.
Here is the recipe if you want to make it at home.
| 250 ml | (1 cup) | Soy Sauce |
| 125 ml | (1/2 cup) | Dried Bonito Flakes (Dashi) |
| 190 ml | (3/4 cup) | Lemon Juice |
| 75 ml | (1/4 cup) | Rice Wine Vinegar |
1. Bring the soy sauce and dried bonito flakes to a boil in a saucepan.
2. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
3. Remove the flakes by passing the sauce through a sieve.
4. Add lemon juice and rice vinegar. Mix well.
5. Serve or keep refrigerated until fondue time.
Cumin Fondue Dipping Sauce
This recipe uses Cambozola cheese, which is a cow-milk product that can be described as a cross between Camembert and blue cheese.
| 125 ml | (1/2 cup) | 10% Cream |
| 125 g | (1/4 cup) | Cambozola Cheese, Cubed |
| 15 ml | (1 tbsp) | Lemon Juice |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Cumin Powder |
| To taste | Salt, Pepper and chili powder |
1. In a blender, mix the cream, cheese, lemon juice and cumin until smooth.
2. Pour into a dipping bowl and add salt, pepper and chili powder to taste.
3. Serve or keep refrigerated until fondue time.
Dill Dip Recipe
This recipe will please all dill lovers.
| 125 ml | (1/2 cup) | Sour Cream |
| 45 ml | (3 tbsp) | Mayonnaise |
| 1 | Small Dill Pickle, Diced Thinly | |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Pickle Vinegar |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Fresh Dill |
| To taste | Salt and Pepper |
1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Pour into a dipping bowl and add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Serve or keep refrigerated until fondue time.
Garlic Dipping Sauce
This recipe will scare all vampires away with its high garlic content! It's similar to BBQ sauce so it's one of the best fondue sauces for beef fondue.
| 60 ml | (1/4 cup) | Canola Oil |
| 3 | Garlic Cloves, Crushed | |
| 2 | Green Onions, Sliced | |
| 125 ml | (1/2 cup) | Ketchup |
| 30 ml | (2 tbsp) | Vinegar |
| 30 ml | (2 tbsp) | Worcestershire Sauce |
| 5 ml | (1 tsp) | Mustard Powder |
| To taste | Salt and Pepper |
1. Warm up the oil in a saucepan and brown the garlic and green onions.
2. Remove from heat and add ketchup, vinegar, worcestershire sauce and mustard.
3. Mix well and add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Serve or keep refrigerated until fondue time.
Serving Fondue Dipping Sauces
Depending on how you feel about double-dipping in these fondue sauces, you may allow your guests to dip directly into the communal dip bowls or you may request that they pour a little bit of dip onto their fondue plates.
