International Chocolate Day is Coming Up - Fun with Fondue #55

And just like that, August was gone! It is hard to believe how fast summer went, but fall will soon be here with cooler temps and shorter days.

But first, we have one more thing to look forward to! That is International Chocolate Day on September 13! Not that we ever need a reason to indulge, but it sure sounds like a good idea to me!

Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate

In honor of International Chocolate Day on September 13, let’s take a look at some of the reported health benefits of dark chocolate. (Just another reason to eat it, right?!)

  • Source of many antioxidants and minerals
  • May lower blood pressure
  • May lower the risk of heart attack and stroke
  • Prevents asthma attacks
  • Improves brain function
  • May protect your skin from sun damage
  • Makes you happy (this is the most important and most proven)

Remember, these are not guaranteed and if you have questions, please check with your doctor (as I am not a medical professional by any means). Also remember that it has to be dark chocolate without added sugars and in moderation.
