Fun with Fondue, Issue #8 -- Fondue for Fall or Fall for Fondue?
September 30, 2012

Fall is here with its cooler temperatures. I think it's the perfect season for fondue.

BBQ season is winding down, but you don't have to give up on social meals! Fondue still provides that same social environment, but in the comfort of your home.

What's not to like?

Fall is the ideal season to fall in love with fondue!

Monthly Fondue Tip - Call for Questions

This month, I don't have a particular tip to offer... Instead, I'd like to ask YOU to send me your fondue questions.

Whether you're a new or experienced fondue fan, I'd love to hear your questions or comments. I will then answer your questions in the monthly newsletter and/or create a new fondue page just for you.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what's on your mind!

Please send me your questions by email at [email protected].

Monthly Recipe Recommendation

With Halloween a mere month away, I thought I would recommend an easy dessert recipe that uses Halloween candy.

(OK, this particular ingredient isn't necessarily a common Halloween candy, but I really enjoyed getting it as a kid when I went trick-or-treating).

I'm talking about Kraft's Traditional Caramels.

You'll also need whipping cream, vanilla and lots of fruit dippers like apples, pears, bananas, popcorn, pretzels and whatever you think will taste great with caramel!

You can view the full recipe here:

You can even have this recipe on Halloween night with guests (or alone) at home while handing out candy to young monsters...

Food For Thought

"Wine makes a symphony of a good meal."

- Fernande Garvin, in 'The Art of French Cooking'

That's it for now. Feel free to visit our site and browse through our collection of fondue recipes.

You'll hear back from me in October.

Until then, be careful with open flames and have fun with fondue!
