Dipping Fondue Recipes for Seafood Fondue
Before you start dipping fondue, you need to have the right dips and sauces. Here are some dips that go very well with seafood fondue.
Tartare Sauce 250 ml (1 cup) Mayonnaise 125 ml (1/2 cup) Gherkins, thinly chopped 60 ml (4 tbs) Capers, thinly chopped 15 ml (1 tbs) Green olives, thinly chopped 15 ml (1 tbs) Onions, thinly chopped 2 Hard-boiled eggs, mashed 1/4 Mild pickle, thinly chopped 5 ml (1 tsp) Tarragon 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Dry mustard 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Cayenne pepper 60 ml (1/4 cup) White vinegar
1. Mix all ingredients except for the vinegar. 2. Gradually add some vinegar and taste for tartness. 3. Continue adding vinegar until right tartness is achieved. 4. Serve.
Lemon Teriyaki Dip 125 ml (1/2 cup) Soy sauce 60 ml (1/4 cup) Sugar 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Ground ginger 30 ml (2 tbs) Lemon juice
1. Combine all ingredients in a pot. 2. Bring to a boil and ensure all sugar dissolves. 3. Serve.
Fish Roe Dip 250 ml (1 cup) Plain yogurt 20 g (1 oz) Fish roe 15 ml (1 tbs) Lemon juice 1 Garlic clove, crushed 5 ml (1 tsp) Green onions, thinly chopped 5 ml (1 tsp) Sugar 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Cayenne pepper Salt and pepper
1. Mix together. 2. Add salt and pepper to taste. 3. Serve.
Curry Apple Dip 125 ml (1/2 cup) Plain yogurt 45 ml (3 tbs) Apple sauce 5 ml (1 tsp) Prepared curry paste 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Lime juice Salt and pepper
1. Mix together. 2. Add salt and pepper to taste. 3. Serve.
