Chicken Broth Fondue Recipe

Here is a chicken broth fondue recipe that you can make at home.

What better way to control how much fat and salt gets in your fondue!

I have also included a turkey broth recipe for you to try.


Chicken Broth

3.5 L(14 cups)Water
1 kg(2.25 lb)Chicken with bone, uncooked
1 Onion, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 Carrots, medium, chopped
2 Celery stalks, chopped
5 ml(1 tsp)Basil
60 ml(1/4 cup)Parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper

1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil and add the chicken.

2. Add the other ingredients, except for the parsley.

3. Return to a boil.

4. Reduce heat and leave on low heat for approximately one hour.

5. Taste broth and add salt and pepper to taste.

6. Add parsley and let simmer for another half hour.

7. Let the broth cool.

8. Strain and discard solids.

9. Keep refrigerated.

10. Before heating up again, discard any fat that has solidified.

11. Bring your chicken broth fondue recipe to a boil before transferring to your fondue pot.

12. Serve and enjoy.


Turkey Broth

7 kg(16 lb)Turkey
2 Onions, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 Carrot, medium, chopped
1 Celery stalk, chopped
1 Bay leaf
2 ml(1/2 tsp)Oregano
10 ml(2 tsp)Thyme
Salt and pepper

1. In a large roasting pan, cook your turkey.

2. When the turkey is ready, remove the turkey from the pan but leave its juice.

3. Add the vegetables and spices along with the turkey bones and additional water.

4. Cook at 120 C (250F) for 3 to 4 hours.

5.Taste broth and add salt and pepper to taste.

6. Strain and discard solids.

7. Keep refrigerated.

8. Before heating up again, discard any fat that has solidified.

9. Bring to a boil before transferring to your fondue pot.

10. Serve and enjoy.
