Cheese Fondue Recipes

Blue Cheese Fondue

These two blue cheese fondue recipes will impress the blue cheese lovers amongst your friends and family. These fondue recipes have a stronger taste than most cheese fondue because of the blue cheese.

There are two variations for you to try: one with Brie cheese and one with Monterey Jack and cream cheese.

Cheese Fondue Pot




Blue Cheese and Brie Fondue

45 ml(3 tbs)Butter
2 Green Onions, Thinly Sliced
3 Large Shiitake Mushroom Caps, Diced
3 ml(1/2 tsp)Dried Thyme
310 ml(1 1/4 cups)Dry White Wine
30 ml(2 tbs)Cornstarch
450 g(1 lb)Brie, Diced into Bitesize Pieces, no Rind
85 g(3 oz)Blue Cheese, Crumbled
To Taste Salt and Pepper
Assortment of Dippers

1. In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.

2. Add the green onions and mushrooms and cook until soft.

3. Add the thyme and wine and let the mixture simmer.

4. In a medium bowl, mix the cornstarch with the pieces of Brie.

5. Add the blue cheese into the bowl and mix.

6. Gradually incorporate your cheese mixture into the pot, one handful at a time.

7. Once the cheese has melted, transfer the mixture into your cheese fondue pot.

8. Carefully light the fondue burner.

9. Add salt and pepper to taste and dip your pieces of bread and other dippers into the delicious cheese.

10. Enjoy and repeat! Make sure to keep stirring the cheese.



Another Blue Cheese Fondue Recipe


125 ml(1/2 cup)Dry White Wine
225 g(1/2 lb)Cream Cheese
225 g(1/2 lb)Monterey Jack Cheese, Shredded
112 g(1/4 lb)Blue Cheese, Crumbled
To Taste Salt and Pepper
Assortment of Dippers


1. In a pot over low heat, mix the wine and cream cheese until the cream cheese is fully melted and creamy.

2. Gradually add the Monterey Jack cheese and mix thoroughly.

3. Once the Monterey Jack is melted, add the blue cheese crumbs.

4.Transfer the mixture into your cheese fondue pot..

5. Carefully light the fondue burner and adjust the heat to maintain the cheese fondue warm but not too hot.

6. Dip your pieces of bread and other dippers into the delicious cheese.

7. Enjoy and repeat!
